Hi ! In the game process I encountered the ''granatgomb'' expression. What means ? An error ? Granatbomb is most probably, isn't it ? Leo.

I believe this is a hand grenade; not sure which language granatebomb (sp?) is from though.

Actually its a Hungarian hand grenade...not sure if the spelling may or may not be anglicized but its a handgrenade ;)

Folks, that IS the correct spelling for the Granatgomb, that's not a typo, I put it in there!!!

Yes, this is a Hungarian word, and no the spelling is not wrong, Granatgomb is correct!!!

The wonders of the internet. Granatgomb is in the Hungarian OOB, so search google for 'hungarian-english dictionary' put in gomb and find it means "button, stud, knob" So it would seem likely to be a wartime german/hungarian slang of some kind. Granat and gomb would seem to be some sort of "knob shell" or "button shell" - likely having to do with the shape perhaps like a doorknob? Makes sense dealing with a hand granade...

I know I should probably let this thread die, but if you scroll up 'its a hand grenade' and 'its in Hungarian' were posted yesterday in small (1-2 line) posts. Well, at least I now know 2 Hungarian words granatgomb and paprika (pepper).
