The frontlines in Russia late in the war will not become completely static if you use waves of attack at critical points, to achieve breakthroughs and followups. Hit the target area with strong infantry, exchange places with followup armor, hit the same area of the line again with the many armored action points allowing multiple attacks, and have other armor ready to push through any holes made in the line. It requires some planning a month or more ahead of time, just as it did historically. The offensives are limited in scope and objective, as historically. Air power helps to soften that line up at the critical point, but it alone is not decisive.
