If cerberus, a harsh magma filled world can have life. Seth should be able to as well, its far less harsh than cerberus. Cerberus can have blue meadows (that don't even need to be bought in a cashshop to get blue ;) See my not really subtle reference ;) ), creatures roaming around and even bushes and shrubs. All that with rivers of magma and lakes of magma all around the plant life.

Wish Seth was kinda the same and had a chance of life and was involved in planet generation like cerberus is. I dunno about plants, but it would be nice to have animals roaming around.

Also. I not so secretly want to semi-replicate arrakis :(

You can get life on a Seth planet, I've managed to roll one up once, you need to make sure that planet age is sufficiently advanced.

I must be really unlucky then. I've tried for around 18 hours now (take like 4-5 off for breaks in between) and its still 11-12 hours of nonstop attempts at seth life. That or its super super rare lol. Cause I've had really old planets and never had luck either.

Do you remember what the planet temp and stuff was?

At least I'm pretty sure I did... I'm gonna have a go myself and see if I can replicate it because if you've been trying that hard and not got anything then maybe I'm mistaken.

I've tried for 14-15 hours now since the game is released, and I'm 100% positive that it isn't possible. Wasted so much time trying to get life, and come to realize that either people are mistaken on the planet or its an insider prank :P

Need oxygen for life (ceberus gets COMPLEX life when generating oxygen) and oxygen doesn't show up in the slightest amounts on Seth. Maybe the other desert world? It says it has no life but it does rain and have water.

Very disappointing actually because I wanted to play an Arrakis style planet. But I give up and face palmed when I realized I've been pranked lol. After 14-15 hours, it just isn't possible. Thats 14-15 hours over the course of game release, not counting breaks in between that is actually how long I tried for. After that long and 1000s of generations of seth, there is no way it can have life on it.

I hope a future update allows life on Seth. If ceberus can get life on a planet filled with volcanos, lakes of magma and rivers of magma, no reason Seth can't either

No, you do not need Oxygen for life. You need Oxygen for Water/Oxygen based life. But that ship sailed when you pick a "no water" planet!
If you only look at that Oxygen meter, you will likely miss it. Best to ignore it and look at "life".
Also, make sure to make the map non-small and old enough. Small map = small planet = weak amtosphere = low chance at life.

The tooltips and handbook are explicit:
"Seth Class
Named after the God of the desert. Desert Planets. Their key characteristic is that they do not have a drop of liquid water on their surface. It is rare, but possible they host an alien biology with non water-based type of life."

"Boreas Class
Named after the god of the wind from the north. Icy desert Planets. Their key characteristic is that they have water in usually sizeable amounts, but they have too low temperatures for most of it to be liquid. It is rare but possible they host an alien biology, usually with a non water-based type of life."

However, Limos is explicitly excluded:
"Limos Class
Named after the god of starvation. Not quite desert Planets, but not much better either. They have some amount of liquid water, but they are always void of life. If they were to have life they would be classed either Siwa Class or Medusa Class"

Nope wrong. Nice try at the insider joke, but I figured it out its some kinda prank :P I won't believe it unless I see an actual save of a seth planet with life. Until then as far as I'm concerned its a prank/joke that Seth can have life lol.

I've generated over 1000 attempts at life at Seth and it isn't currently possible. Spent 14-15 hours trying to get life on Set, that time is ignoring breaks, and it isn't possible what so ever. I spent so much time ignoring real life and clicking regen over and over that I realized its not possible.

I've done huge planets with oldest age possible, temps in the 20s/30s (tried 40 a few times since at 40-43 on ceberus life is able to generate). and gravity around 1 and earth atmosphere (though I tried heavy atmosphere without much luck either)...pretty similar attempts to what I did on Ceberus, Medusa and Siwa which all seem to generate life in those ranges and just not possible on Seth.

After 14-15 hours of clicking so many times, the realization is its not currently possible.

Hope in the future there is a bit more planet customization.

Well, Generating a Seth with decent amount of CO2 is not that hard. And the formula for Oxygen Atmosphere is:
CO2 + Plants or algae that do photosynthesis.
I regulary get Amtospheric Farming Hazard of Medium and Atmos Human Hazard of Insidious (rather then Toxic).

But nothing on Lifeforms there yet. Plus I am not sure wich other types of life (besides Oxygen/Water) there even are. I could not find anything on it in the game files...
