Grotius -> Regime colouring: who's who? (6/15/2020 6:01:33 AM)

There's a "regime colouring" hotkey (5, I think), but it doesn't seem to do much when I press it. I really have trouble telling which regime has control over which territory on the main map. In my current game, hexes bordering me keep changing control between two other regimes at war with each other, and I'm at war with one but not both of those regimes, and it's hard to understand who's got what territory. I can do it by clicking on each individual hex, and then looking for the relevant dotted lines nearby, but that sure is tedious.

For a while I thought maybe the 5 hotkey was incompatible with the 6 hotkey (logistics overlay distance), but I don't think that's the issue. And while I'm on the topic, the "blue" and "green" colors on that overlay are too similar for me to distinguish. Kinda the same problem on the Report/Profile screen, too -- green quite close to blue. I can live with that, but the regime colouring thing is driving me batty. Am I missing something?

It makes it easier to see where your borders are at a glance. I like it, it feels nice to push my 'color' in addition to a line.

Hmm, I must be doing something wrong, then. When I push the hotkey, I don't see any significant change in the map colors.

The filter coloring is really not aggressive, and depending on the terrain's dominant color can be barely noticeable, I must say.

It could probably use some cranking up, or even better a slider allowing the player to adjust its intensity.

P.S. : I went and made a suggestion to make this filter more visible.

Thanks for making that suggestion.

Edit: Found your post. I didn't even know there was a suggestion sub-forum here. Thank you for doing that.
