Plodder -> Artillery Screen:Too Fast! (7/29/2003 12:41:57 PM)

How do you slowdown the scrolling in the artillery screen?as it get really annoying choosing targets.

Losqualo -> (7/29/2003 1:44:53 PM)

I don't think you can change it in-game, but did you try to slow down your mouse in your mouse properties?

Plodder -> (7/29/2003 1:57:03 PM)

No I didn't,I'll try that,thanks.

Jags -> (7/29/2003 4:41:41 PM)

Into the preferences menu you will find an option called "scroll delay" or something very similar, I don't remember it exactly. Try to adjust it from there.

Losqualo -> (7/29/2003 4:45:39 PM)

IIRC, that option only changes the scroll speed for the normal game screen, but not for the Arty screen :( .

It doesn't seem to make much difference,how does everyone else use the arty screen?

I try not to come near the edge of the screen with my pointer :p.

Now honestly, I try to manouver around on the targeting map by clicking in the nav map on the lower right screen.

Resisti -> (7/29/2003 5:34:04 PM)

Are you sure you’re not talking about how fast the artillery rounds fall on map?
In such a case, the remedy is very simple: go in the preferences menu, and be sure the option “Fast Artillery” is turned OFF.

Losqualo -> (7/29/2003 6:37:56 PM)

I'm quite sure it's the scrolling per se.
I have the same problem: once the pointer reaches the end of the map, the scrolling is so fast, that even in a moment you scroll about 20 hexes further.

Plodder -> (7/29/2003 6:50:14 PM)

Yep,Its the scrolling

Jags -> (7/29/2003 7:37:54 PM)

Losqualo, I am really curious now!!!! I hadn't notice till now that this option doesn't affect the arty screen. I'll have to check it out when I go home.

Losqualo -> (7/29/2003 7:55:31 PM)

I just re-checked it. At least for me the scroll speed option does NOT affect the scroll speed in the Arty screen :( .

Jags -> (7/29/2003 9:58:10 PM)

Which means that you are at home playing SPWaW, while I am at my work trying to make a living????

I hate it when this happens!!!!!:mad:

Losqualo -> (7/29/2003 10:13:47 PM)

Well actually I was in my office... You know, err, sometimes I need all kind of software to test my Computer :rolleyes:.
But now I'm at home.

Capt Chris -> (7/29/2003 10:21:36 PM)

I always zoom all the way out before I go into the arty assignment screen. This doesn't change the scroll speed, but it gives you more visible battlefield to work with.

Hope it helps.

Plodder -> (7/30/2003 10:36:24 AM)

I'll try that,Thanks

Jags -> (7/31/2003 6:44:02 PM)

Now, abt the arty screen, I checked it at home, and yes, you are absolutely right. I hadn't noticed it till now. Perhaps I don't use enough???
