tylerblakebrandon -> Question Regarding WIG Craft (6/16/2020 9:09:03 PM)

I have a question regarding WIG craft in Command. The Soviet/Russian A-90 and Lun types are classed in Command as aircraft while the Iranian Bavar-2 is in the Ship category. My guess is that this is due to capabilities based on the IMO metrics below. I found details indicating the A-90 was a Class B which would make the aircraft designation sensible. The only details I found on the Lun where Surface Effect characteristics. I could find anything on the Bavar. Do the flight capabilities determine how WIG craft are treated in Command? So class A would be treated as a watercraft and class B and C as aircraft?

The International Maritime Organization recognizes three types of GEVs:
Class A - A craft which is certified for operation only in ground effect;
Class B - A craft which is certified to temporarily increase its altitude to a limited height outside the influence of ground effect but not exceeding 150 metres (490 ft) above the surface; and
Class C - A craft which is certified for operation outside ground effect and exceeding 150 metres (490 ft) above the surface.
