Tomn -> Major Regime Battle AI Seems Shy (6/21/2020 2:38:14 PM)

So Minor Regime/Free Folk AI seems a bit aggressive, willing now and then to suicide their militia trash on clearly superior forces. Major Regime AI, on the other hand, seems very hesitant - if they see an obvious opportunity to pocket without fighting they'll take it, but if your lines are fairly strong throughout they either vaguely skulk around hoping for a chance at an easy breakthrough or envelopment or mass forces to chip away at isolated parts of the line with little follow through. It's rare to see either a broad front assault or a concerted breakthrough effort. They also seem a lot more focused on saving their own units than striking a decisive blow - if for instance you pocket a bunch of their armored units but accidentally leave yourself open to a counterpocket, they're likely to simply bug out at top speed. The end result is that major regimes tend to be pretty passive in combat unless they're totally overwhelming and are willing to wait for you to take the initiative. Anyone else notice this?
