YohanTM2 -> No RPGs (6/23/2020 8:44:51 PM)

I've researched them and can build and RPG corps but when I try to build it I have no RPGs - how do you construct them?

LordAldrich -> RE: No RPGs (6/23/2020 8:49:56 PM)

Have you designed a model that uses them? Units are just like techs and oobs, you have to both discover the idea then actually research/design it.

Thanks for the quick reply

Discovered - yes
Researched - yes

Formation - see picture

Just raise the formation and they will be built I think. The raise formation-button would be grayed out if there was any problems.

bobarossa -> RE: No RPGs (6/23/2020 9:46:37 PM)

His formation doesn't show any RPG's in it (0/1000). Raising the formation will probably just build Rifles. I've never tried building anything with only partial selections in the Qualtiy line so that may be part of it. I've always left all 4 quality types checked. Maybe RPG's can't be built in High or Elite quality (too new?).

LordAldrich -> RE: No RPGs (6/23/2020 9:50:42 PM)

Ah, did you assign them a quality of "obsolete" "low" or "average"? That would filter them out of that UI. If not, then it might be a bug.

zgrssd -> RE: No RPGs (6/23/2020 9:56:37 PM)

The full process for a new weapon is:
- you Dicover the tech
- your Reserach the tech
- Model Council discovers the model
- You design an actuall model

No actuall model is in the list, so something is wrong. Did you obsolete it in error? Did you start a new design and canceled it? non-beta versions got some issues there.
Please show us the model in Management -> Models

Oh wow, totally missed the quality selection.

OP:
Default quality is "none", wich gets you through all filters. But if you manually set the RPG model to "normal" or "low", this filtering will explicitly not show it.

YohanTM2 -> RE: No RPGs (6/23/2020 10:51:33 PM)

So I started with Tech 4 and had RPG from the start, have not obsoleted anything but no RPG here?

And no option to design one here...

You have no RPG design. It i a seperate model type, like Machinegun or Buggy.

T4 starts with the tech, but not a actuall model using it. Or even the idea of Bazooka Infantry Discovered (Management -> Type). You still need to find the idea via Model Discovery, then design it.
If you hit no orders, the BP assigned to Design should flip over to discovery (not 100% sure, however).

Jdane -> RE: No RPGs (6/23/2020 11:04:44 PM)

Please look under MNG > Type. Most likely, « Bazooka » has yet to be discovered by the Model Design Council.
Then it has to be researched by the very same Council, then it'll have to design a model, then you'll be able to field RPG troops.
Most likely. (About 90% sure.)

In reference to zgrssd's checklist, you would still be between steps 2 and 3 of the admittedly somewhat convoluted process.

Edit: I've been beaten to the post. [>:]

YohanTM2 -> RE: No RPGs (6/23/2020 11:19:40 PM)

I think you are correct, still have not discovered Bazooka
