Also I suggest not nationalizing the Transport hub either before your warmachine has outgrown it and you desperately need to improve it to get more logistical points than the private hub can provide, as I haven't seen that it would provide any more LPs nationalized than the same level provides as private industry and when you do nationalize, you must feed and pay those thousands of workers that work there... And the jobs are again away from the private industry. Thousands of more mouths to feed and recruit is quite steep price for the choice when to increase the level of the building... Also it's worth to keep in mind that if you go full socialism and nationalize everything, feeding the population from emergency food, you must also account for the huge drain to your LPs that transporting the food to your city takes, as opposed to farms being private they will automatically transport without the drain. I usually play with high planned economy and government control, but there are just many things that simply aren't worth it to put your stick into the soup. Better just build your own damn farms into the edge of that six-hex efficiency range from the city. Then on the other side, I tend to nationalize fast anything iron or limited resource related, as I see little worth in letting 90% of those resources go to waste in the private sector and buy those resources from the market when you could get them for much less owning the scavenging stations and mines yourself. It's not like you don't always know where to put that little bit of extra metals, oil or REMs.
