I have recently decided to motorise one of my forces and the TOE calls for eight transports, but the game refuses to withdraw an extra 100 infantry resulting in insufficient transport for everyone, making my motorisation effort pointless.

A few more posts and I will be able to post links to pictures directly, but for now just add a '.' where needed.

The conversion was Heavy Siege Grenadier Infantry Brigade -> Motorised Heavy Siege Grenadier Infantry Brigade, but this also happened with Mechanized Heavy Storm Grenadiers, but there ten transports are required for only eight non-tank troops and the extra two infantry are covered. I got frustrated with the motorised brigade to the point that I brought the units back to the capital and the SHQ to avoid any logistical weirdness, but the units still refuse to send the troops back. I will likely just order a disband and then cancel it next turn so they're properly filled out.

On a related note, I do not like the current system of motorisation where missing a single vehicle turns your troops back into foot sloggers. A more gradual degradation, perhaps losing part of the bonus movement in relation to the missing vehicles, would make more sense.

That only sums up to 8 subunits. Ich have not gotten to teh grenadiers yet, but generally Brigade units have 10 subunits in total. Just the amount fo each subunit type varries a bit.

Weird. I would try this:

Click the unit on the map, then select the Grunts III. Scrap one of them.

Could be a rounding error during reduction, disbanding and cancelling the disband fixed the problem.
