Bozo_the_Clown -> HQ units and ports (7/9/2020 11:52:25 PM)

Unable to move HQ unit into Sevastopol due to adjacent enemy unit. I can move any combat unit into the city.

is the city empty of ground troops while you attempt to move in hq? that wont work. need combat unit in hex for hq to move into the hex which is in enemy zoc.

Nope, there is a unit in there. It's definitely a bug

Sorry, but how would a picture help here.

a picture is worth a thousand words.

and maybe it shows how you could be mistaken.

or shows you correct.

eskuche -> RE: HQ units and ports (7/11/2020 4:23:32 AM)

If it is indeed a bug, without a picture devs have no idea what the issue is or how to fix.

Bozo_the_Clown -> RE: HQ units and ports (7/11/2020 5:05:40 PM)

Look, there is nothing to show. Sevastopol has German units adjacent. I can move combat units in the city but not HQ. There is the old display bug I reported years ago and that was never fixed. The movement points are displayed until you reach the city and than you have to force click the city hex and the unit moves into the city. But for the HQ unit that doesn't word. You cannot move HQ units into port hexes with adjacent enemy units.

This is only a problem that affects the Soviets so I can understand why it is ignored.

Once I get my turn back I will reorganize the garrison of Sevastopol so that I can provide the precious picture which will then be ignored anyway. [:D]

Screenshot attached, even so it's completely void of any relevant information. Shows at least that I have enough MPs to move around the Crimea. Just can't land my HQ in Sevastopol.

BrianG -> RE: HQ units and ports (7/14/2020 1:46:50 AM)

oh its a naval issue.

well we have experts for that aspect of the war. Some where. [:)]

eskuche -> RE: HQ units and ports (7/14/2020 8:46:25 PM)

Yeah so picture was relevant because we had no idea this was a naval issue. I was going to try the same thing next turn at Odessa so I can see if it reproduces now.

If you’re worried about giving away intel just block off the important hexes in Paint with a black boxes.

Bozo_the_Clown -> RE: HQ units and ports (7/16/2020 1:43:01 AM)

I guess I didn't explain the problem clear enough. Sorry about that.

BrianG -> RE: HQ units and ports (7/16/2020 2:17:22 AM)

q1 Can the hq actually enter another port of yours further east?

Yes, it's the enemy units adjacent to the city that prevent the HQ from moving in. It's a bug.

I don't think they are actually going to support the game anymore and this is not very important. The screwed up air war system would be more important.
