"Receivers start looking for tanker when down to nn percent of mission".

Does that percentage include the return leg of the mission i.e. should I be looking at the round trip distance?

IIRC that value is simply the raw percentage of mission fuel capacity. If you set it to 50% and an aircraft has a 1000kg mission fuel capacity, then it will search for a tanker at 500kg. I don't believe it factors in the mission itself. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah ok - then I totally got the wrong end of the stick... [&:]
I've done a couple of runs through of:

Wooden Leg, 1985. This is another basic long-range Israeli
airstrike scenario where the only challenge is aerial refueling
to get the aircraft to the target. Useful for learning how to
use tanker aircraft.

First time I had it set to 50% as the tanker support mission is about half way to the target. The strike aircraft skipped right past it and refuelled on the way back. Second time round, I set it to 25% (IIRC) and they refuelled on the way there - which is why I got caught up with "maybe it's the round trip distance" - I didn't consider fuel load at all but, of course, chosen speed will be a factor not just distance... I'll take another look.

Thanks by the way... [:)]
