For example, it is time for me to give my speech. And one of the options is to declare that I will conquer city "somethingoranother". Well, I don't know where that city is on the map. I can to click on it, have the hex center on the map in the left half of my screen, so it is not hidden under the speech dialog. I should also be able to zoom out the map at that point to get the bigger picture of its surroundings and relative location.
