I just finished a run at Crusader Kings II (with all expansions installed) from 769 to 1452. This time I started as one of the many Norse warlords, founded the Empire of Scandinavia and then I had to defend it from assault after assault of those Catholic heathens - with France that never formed and Hispania and Germany joined in an unholy alliance. I could only counteract with Vikings raids which procured me the gold I used to pay tons of mercenaries. Very tense stuff (the last 150 years were an uninterrupted sequel of crusades, raids and revolts). Next time I'll join The Followers of Hel secret society, just out of spite. According to Steam's records it took me 95+ hours to complete the campaign. Now I guess I'll play either European Truck Simulator II or the American counterpart. Why these games are so involving, I can't say. However, one of the best (and underrated) games for Intellivision was Truckin', so maybe there is something to the theme...
