			  | I liked it, even if it was basically Das Boot on the surface crossed with Aliens. The plot was thin, the characterization null, but the action was a welcome non-stop.

The vastness and the fury of North Atlantic in Winter was well represented, IMHO.

The CGI itself was an interesting preview of what we will see on next-gen consoles.

I didn't really understand why the U-Boats were always wailing like stirring Godzillas or the tripods from War of the Worlds.

The U-Boat drive-by scene, which looked so absurd in the trailer, actually had a logic in the movie. I won't spoil, but I wonder if, even once, a German commander tried that maneuver for the reasons explained in the scene. For sure I'll never attempt the same in Silent Hunter III...

*** out of ***** from me.
