Okay first up:

1) Thank you to Vic for adding the 5/4 Resolution (75% DPI) option for small monitors - that does work a treat and the 'graphics loss' is barely noticeable, however whenever I restart the game (from desktop) the resolution is now 7/8 Resolution (125% DPI) setting?

2) A weird issue regarding escarpments, I will use example to explain: Infantry unit in a hex moves north into a hex with a river (on the Hex's south of course) and so the infantry crosses the river and it costs an extra 20AP (45AP) this is correct... BUT - the same unit then crosses back across the same river (now to the south) and this time it costs the regular 25 AP?? Its like back in the days when I used to drive across the seven bridge into Wales - I had to pay to get into Wales... but not to get out!

3) No HQ's show under the 'SPECIFIC HQS' tab in Reports.

I'm probably in the early stages of heat injury working on our new fixer-upper house (neither water nor energy yet, but good logistical supply, as it is on a paved road, lol) but what comes to mind is that that it would just be cruel to make people pay to leave Wales.

It would be adding insult to the injury of departing from such a wonderful people. As for the river crossing example, one could think of the action point penalty as time and effort spent to build/deploy bridges and/or find a suitable ford, and then if the unit decides to immediately retreat across the same river, the bridges haven't yet been blown / undeployed and the exact coordinates are still known by everyone, right down to that 2 month old 2LT.

This! I could stomach paying to enter Wales but if they made me pay to get back into England.....

Yeah, I get your point but it makes the escarpments defensible from only one side - when it should be a defensive position from either side of the river.

2) IIRC, escarpments and rivers are the same mechanic. And escarpments only have their effect into 1 direction as well (uphill).

I guess when crossing the river twice, it could be asumed you already spend the AP to build the bridge/build the makeshift boats/find the fjords/etc. But it does smell a lot more of a game engine limitation.
