Boagrius -> [FIXED] ABM Systems Engaging BMs Below Their Altitude Minimum (7/23/2020 7:51:32 AM) Hi all, Have been playing around with various BMD systems in CMO and noticed that SM3 (and I think occasionally THAAD) continue to engage ballistic missile targets below their minimum engagement altitude (IIRC ~100km for SM3 and ~40km for THAAD)? I have attached a save file showing this behaviour in SM3 as an example.

Boagrius -> RE: ABM Systems Engaging BMs below their Altitude Minimum (7/23/2020 7:59:32 AM) It looks to me like CMO is currently using SM3 variants as a terminal defense weapon against ballistic missiles, rather than as an exo-atmospheric midcourse only interceptor as it should. The (USN) weapon of choice for terminal defence against ballistic missiles should actually be the SM-6, but the game currently treats an ASBM like the DF26 as too fast for it to even attempt interception?
