Has anybody else noticed changes in the scripts?

1) Axis invading Yugoslavia has no impact on the Soviet war readiness

2) Moving French or UK forces in the Med (the cities that need to be garrisoned) has no impact on Italian war readiness

Is this something I missed in updates or are the scripts broken?

pjg100 -> RE: Scripts (7/24/2020 12:20:15 AM)

Per the current scripts, GE DOW on Yugo yields a 5-10% increase in USSR mob toward Allies.

If Yugoslavia joins the Allies via the coup then there won't be any increase in Soviet mobilization, whereas as pjg100 points out, an Axis declaration of war will increase it by 5-10%.

For Italy, there is a 1-2% swing per turn that any of the locations in the Med are abandoned. Though with Tunisia, Syria or Egypt there have to be no Allied units within 5 hexes of Tunis, Damascus or Alexandria for the event to fire. So the Allied unit can be moved a little without triggering a response.

Thanks Bill,

I did not know about the 5 hex rule. Yugoslavia rarely gets to the stage where there is a coup. Most player now immediately invade Greece and Yugoslavia directly after the fall of France. Having said that I don't think the soviet response is firing.

I just ran a test in Hotseat using the 1939 World at War campaign and the USSR jumped from 25% to 39% mobilization when Germany declared war on Yugoslavia.

I don't recall having changed anything here over time, but you could always check your installation in the same way just in case?
