c3k -> Using a remote airbase for refueling? (8/3/2020 6:42:51 PM)

Gents,

Forgive the newbie question.

I'm playing through the South China Sea 2015 scenario. I'm trying to use some F/A-18s down in Singapore and get them up to the conflict zone near the Philippines. Yes, there are some Air Refueling assets. (I'm having fun trying to delve into the various air refueling options and doctrines.)

My goal is to refuel the F/A-18s on the way up, have them perform a strike (ASuW or AAW), then recover to the Philippines. Instead, they (and the Kadena P-3s and the P-8) bingo back to their launch base.

How do I keep them on their mission, but have them plan to land in the Philippines, not their launch base?

Thanks.

Reassign them to the desired base in mid flight after they take off.

Gah. I knew it would be something very simple.

Thank you!

Also if you time it right your AAW aircraft will be able to QTR through the intermediate base, then on the way home, switch them to Ferry loadout and they will spend minimal time on the ground.
