ORIGINAL: ElvisJJonesRambo There's a clear variable in talent. HamburgerBun, Cpuncher, Argentum have my number. Check my ElvisGoldRecords thread, I keep all my stats there. Yep....just double checked, lost 4 times. @TheLand --- Why do this manually? Wouldn't it make sense to job this to a "Ladder Keeper" website? Who wants to read all this extra traffic? Setup a Ladder website, simple enough. You can manage the how ratings are calculated. I've played the most games. There's wide breadth of talent. Great - thanks for confirming. I'm not very familiar with those sites, though I just had a quick look at them. To my mind the advantages of the current system are, most important first: - players commit to matches when they start, which helps increase the ratio that are completed. - there is no separate registration needed, it all runs on this forum - at least one person knows exactly what is happening with the rankings and how it all works, some of the other systems are not very transparent at all Of course there are also disadvantages, and if someone wants to go to the effort of setting up another system that's all fine by me. So long as there is some kind of public log of matches and results, all systems are compatible. However, this tournament seems to be achieving its goals and it's scarcely any effort so I'm not in a rush to change systems.
