Mcmike60 -> Logistics Help Please (8/13/2020 4:52:54 PM)

Just when I think I am starting to get this game, it reminds me that I'm an idiot. Regarding logistics, I have a situation pictured below where logistics coming from the north hit a junction, and for reasons I do not understand, do not divide evenly. I need logistics to the south, but even after messing with traffic signs to block flow to the east and putting pull points to the south, I can't get logistics to flow.

I know there has to be something simple I am missing but I just cant figure it out. Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

1) You don't have any traffic signs active on both images (too small to look on hex details).
2) You seems to have a lot of pull points on eastern road - my guess there is a city here so it's work as intended.

Sorry for the small picture but yes you are correct, no traffic signs and there is a city to the east. My question is since there is also a city to the south, how can I force logistics to divide more evenly at the junction, or better yet, am I able to stop logistics going to the city in the east? When I have tried blocking using traffic signs, nothing flows south still.

Thanks

1) Build MOAR logistic assets [:)]. You should have enough points remain AFTER pull to feed your army. In your situation there is not enough even for pull points - you're horribly lacking logistic points.
2) This can't happen - I'm 99.(9)% sure that you simply make a mistake in traffic signs settings. Do you enabled (red dot) that traffic sign affect pull points?

Do you have a rail/truck logistic structure in the southern city?

I don't know. Am I alone that the pull system makes it much mor complicated to understand what happens now? I was really happy with the logistics and had no problems, now I am scratching my head constantly trying to understand why it flows this or that way, without me doing anything.

And wasn't it touted that the Pull-system is optional? I can't see anything in the Preferences to turn it off.

1) Pull system is a game option like Cults and so on - it's enabled/disabled during a new game creation.
2) Without pull system you will get same situation. I repeat once more - if pull system unable to feed both cities then you SEVERELY lack logistic points and it's unrelated to pull system at all.
Upgrade your track stations (ideally in all three cities). Build railway. Deal with losses if road is more then 10 hexs (for dirt road) - in that case you need Supply Bases.

Nope, you're not. I LOVE Shadow Empire, it's my favourite PC game ever, and yet I think the pull system has made the logistics more fiddly, more complex, requires more time in the traffic management screen and more overall micromanagement. It's gonna help new players in the early game, at the expense of confusing the hell out of them when they will eventually have to get involved with it.
