Hi!

Has there been a change on the forum recently? It has become really user unfriendly to me when I do a post because everytime I change the font size, colour, bold, etc. the cursor jumps to the very end of the post. This is highly annoying when I format combat reports and it has not done that to me for the last 15 years. I was using internet explorer, firefox and now edge, it never happened like this until just a some time ago.

Any clue if it's the forum software or my browser?

thanks

Done that for a long time as I recall. yes, annoying.

It does not do that to me. I suspect Edge might have something to do with it?

Edge was rushed out after Chrome and Firefox took most of the browser usage. I read reviews that more or less said it is quirky and security settings are not yet taken care of.

+1 Different browsers work differently with the forum. I will get fail to load messages at some point with Brave/Firefox I think it is tied to cache/autologin. Using a private window fixes this, but then I have to login might as well use Tor.[:)]

Don't use straight Chrome anymore.

I never used Edge, ever, till I got the failures above and figured I would give it a try. I only use Edge to visit this forum and so far I have gotten several wonky screens...that partially load for example, but I have always been able to autologin. So I am not that impressed (maybe it would be different if I used a touch screen).

I was thinking about playing with a few more browsers, in the past I have liked Opera and Palemoon and a handful of others.

If you're going back to change font or bold it rather than selecting as you go, highlight the part you want to change before giving the command.

Definitely the browser.

If I log on using Edge, I can't get "list" into my posts whereas I can if I log in using IE.

I've only used Firefox for years with no problems. I tried Chrome and didn't like it, I block Edge. But no problems with Firefox.

I'm using Chrome.

Me too.

I've been using Firefox for the last year and it has worked just fine, from one day to the other it behaves as mentioned in my original post. Then I switched to edge to see if that works better just to find out it behaves exactly the same. [>:]

I use Chrome. I've noticed when I post extremely intelligent and well thought out things they come out garbled and don't make any sense. Maybe I should switch to Firefox? [&:]

I've tried Firefox, IE and edge now, all with the same problem and IE is even worse as it doesn't make a new line during typing... [&:]

makes formating the AAR impossible now... [8|] as with the game I feel the forum is not up to date anymore...

Again, the fact that many of us have no such problem suggests there is something in your settings for windows or the forum that could be responsible. Perhaps go into your account and edit your forum preferences for how it handles your posts?

Will give that a try, never knew there would be preferences to choose. Still wondering why it has worked just fine for a decade and then it stops working with any webbrowsers. I update all my software all the time, so I stay by what I say, seems like the forum is as the game, old and at some point not working with new software anymore, at least it feels the way to me.

Have also tried Chrome now, same result. Four browsers, all uptodate showing the same behaviour.

Found nothing in the preferences that would change anything. Cursor jumps to the very end of the post all the time. [:(]
