magic87966 -> Question about Generals and Mobility (8/20/2020 4:35:59 PM)
|
Generals are rated with Combat, Mobility and Tenacity. I'm trying to understand the impact of the various ratings. Fundamentally, I would think that a defending General with low mobility would stand a better chance of getting fixed in place and destroyed rather than retreating. On the surface, this seems to make logical sense to me. But I think I'm thinking about it incorrectly as it relates to the game. The "Retreat Chance" chart in the manual says the difference in the mobility ratings of the attacking and defending Generals impact the retreat chance by 2% per value difference. So it appears that the actual mobility rating is not the key but simply the difference in mobility factors. If the attacking General has a mobility rating of 5 and the defender is a 9, then (all other factors being equal) there is an 8% LESS chance of the defender retreating. Is this correct? Or is it the exact opposite? Again, on defense a higher mobility rating would make me think of a greater chance to retreat but I don't think this is so. Comments?
