ORIGINAL: Alfred Last post in this thread: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4820039&mpage=2 Sticking to patch 7 is not silly; it means you don't suffer the 0 naval support at dot ports (even after built up to level 3) bug. Alfred True, but your '45 unrep from your AE's will not work properly. That's if your game lasts that long. This hurts the Allies, the 'bug' affects both players. The rearmament issue was nowhere as important as the no naval support to SPS 0 ports. Rearmament 1. Only Allied player might be affected. 2. Cannot arise before 1945 and then only with at sea rearmament from a Replenishment TF. 3. Only arises in limited situations. Would not arise at all unless a ship has depleted so much ammo, that its rearmament at sea would consume more than 999 OPs of an AE ship. By no means does normal rearmament always consume that many OPs. 4. There is a simple work around; use ports for rearming after a particularly costly battle. Those situations which are likely to see the high ammo expenditure are most likely to witness battle damage which will require a return to port to fix the damage anyway. No Naval Support 1. Applies to both sides. 2. Applies from 7 December 1941 until the end of the scenario. 3. There is no work around. A port with a SPS of 0, even if built up to its maximum size of 3, will never have naval support. This means that it is impossible to ever rearm from the port almost all naval weapons. 4. The absence of naval support also has a huge negative impact on the capacity to undertake ship repairs. 5. Loading/unloading devices with a high load cost at ports sized 3 and below is often dependent on there being naval support. 6. The bug makes the stevedoring units of DaBabes useless at these ports. 7. We aren't talking about only a few ports being so affected. There are great numbers of SPS 0 level ports in the game. Alfred
