Yes, as stated by platoonist the S means Static. Guess I'll have to use imgur or something for pictures, but I'll just post the pop-up text here for now. Both units below are part of IV US Bomber Cmnd (West Coast). In the list of air units attached to IV US Bomber Cmnd they are written as; 39th BG/12th RS [S]# and 41st BG/48th BS When hovering over both names this is the text in the pop-ups; 39th BG/12th RS [S] (D) withdraws in 59 day(s) Returns later as a new group and 41st BG/48th BS Can upgrade to A-29 Hudson from Dec,1941 Can resize to 16 from Aug,1942 Both units are detachments of a full unit, so I don't think the D has anything to do with that. I have only seen this D behind the name of units set to withdraw. I also see that 41st BG/HqS# and 42nd BG/HqS# (both set to withdraw as you can see) don't have this D in their pop-up, but instead have a W. The three other HqS-units under IV US Bomber Cmnd have the D. Only difference I can see is that the two HqS with W instead of D have units in the detachment that are not set to withdraw, while the HqS-units with D have all parts of the group set to withdraw. If anybody want to see this instead of reading my bad descriptions, just load up any main scenario and check the units under IV US Bomber Cmnd. And yes, it's a D, not a P. :)
