Hi,

I tried to upload a pbem turn, but it failed. There was no error message I was just presented with the blank menu screen you see when the game is loading. This lasted around 15 mins or so until I used task manager to close the program.

I checked the server and it still showed my turn to upload. I wondered if the game had autosaved so I went to the save folder and saw a file called Pbem Upload. This sounded promising so I opened it. I was presented with a save game that looks an awful lot like my opponents turn.

(I didn't look too hard for obvious reasons but it looks like what I see from the opposite side when I download my turn again).

I'm assuming this isn't working as designed - I would attach the Pbem upload file currently showing in the save folder but it updated when I uploaded a turn and also I can't find it in the game files (or any saved games).

When it glitches like this it means the server stalled, you lost connection, or something is interfering.

It does save a temporary file and when it communicates with the server it uploads that file then deletes it.

Something in your post gave me an idea how to prevent these problems and allow players to safely reupload the temp save.

So will work on that for next patch.

As of now redo the turn and upload again.

Yeah I appreciate that it is just a temporary internet outage on my part and we have already carried on with the game.

The only reason I reported it is that I was able to see my opponents turn and gain an unfair advantage - In describing the loss of connection I was just trying to describe the conditions that led to being able to load up the game from my opponents point of view.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.
