mroyer -> Multiple logistics numbers in a hex (10/6/2020 12:23:07 PM)

What does it mean when there are multiple, different colored logistic numbers in a hex?
For example, the following pic shows initial points with grey and yellow numbers.
A couple of the hexes even have three(!) numbers in them.

Thanks for any thoughts,
-Mark R.

That was introduced with some patch.
Taking the hex on the ocean shore as an example:
There are 3172 total points available in the hex.
There are 3131 points available to move stuff from the hex to the north east.
There are 3170 points available to move stuff from the hex to the south.

Oh, good to know. I thought one was for trucks and the other was for rail. What happens it the rail runs E - W?

Hmmm... interesting. Until just now, I thought logistic points were non-directional; i.e., they indicate how much "cargo" (my word) can go through the hex in any direction.

What causes some of the LP to be associated with a particular direction of cargo movement?

It's particularly curious since this turn (the very next turn following the image I posted above), I have no yellow LP numbers anywhere throughout the regime.

Does anyone know what the number in the grey box means .. the 107 and 100 ?

these are the pull numbers from rural assets
in other words, these buildings require 100 and 107 logistical points to operate

You just necroed a thread that was dead for exactly 9 months.
With this game, such a old thread might relate to a game mechanic that has been utterly reworked.

Luckily logistics still works like this. Those are indeed pull points.
While assets do not consume the Logistics Points, they do still need them to pass. So they can fracture your logistics network.
But on a main road that has logistics flow to the next city or front anyway? They basically run for free on that front.

Sorry for the necro - i did a lot of google searching and this was the only one that at least at an image to my question. :-)

Thanks for the explanation. I suppose now i have a follow up question -> How do i know how much a hex will 'pull' ? Or is that grey box the required amount? Like what if only 50 supply points flow through, how do i know i would need to increase it to 100?

Hexes only pull as much as the assets in it need. However the pulling is not additive (as they do not consume the logistics points).
Cities and Units do the most pulling and they are additive.
Logistics beyond pull points are by default split evenly.

Also, don't do what this guy did in the picture (putting logistical assets directly on a main arterial line); you want to use Dturtle's LIS injection method, especially for trains.

He did a writeup somewhere in the War Room IIRC and you can ask the crew on Discord too.

What do the color codes mean above the pull boxes? I also have one that has a blue strip next to the green one.
