In AI game it also tells you that the final destination will not be Aden because AI land units arrive on map, not offmap

Not true. I have lots of units arriving at off-map bases - Stock Scenario 1

Ah, wait, I understand what happened here. Player units arrive off-map to the designated destination, you are right. I was referring to the AI units (for a strange reason), but you generally don't see those at all. The reason is that I am currently playing the research game to capture Karachi and hence frequently look at what is happening with the AI queue [:)] It has same * and off-map bases as a player would see, but actual arrivals are strictly on-map.

Ok - you are playing the Japanese side so that makes sense - the AI has to move them on map somehow and programming the shipping required would be too complex because what is available changes every turn. Sort of like how the AI can teleport ships in harbour to another base in lieu of planning the move by sea days in advance.
