Xargun -> Trying to catch up (10/27/2020 11:05:06 PM)

Well I'm back surfing the AE forums again - its been a few years. Whats the newest, greatest scenarios? Any other game-related news I should know? May even think about trying another opponent - working from home due to the pandemic gives me a lot more computer time than ever before.

Well, it's been a few years since I've started my current PBEM. How am I supposed to know if there's anything new? [:'(]

Good point. The game does take an all or nothing viewpoint on your life while playing it. I shouldnt say this, but I miss the spending hours pouring over ship conversions and aircraft r&d plans. No other game has anything like this. I feel the urge rising to try another PBeM - although they all seem to end poorly.

First, it's been a long time since the latest 'Beta' was issued, and it's not really a Beta. Definitely it's the one to use as it has the most fixes and features.

My personal favorite scenario is Babes 29-C. The "-C" has reduced cargo and fuel carrying capacity for merchants and tankers to help game play better reflect reality.

Babes itself has the most detail, corrections, smaller vessels added, improvements to land units and aircraft, especially fighters. As far as I know many, most, or perhaps even all of the improvements to aircraft have been ported back into stock. Perhaps some or all of the improvements to land units.

With AE, a 4 year old beta patch is considered "new". [:D]

Yeah my last game was 2 years ago and I'm considering going again... One day I may actually find someone to finish a game with.

This might be the year to do it, seeing how most of real life has been cancelled for the foreseeable future. [:(]
