The TF, as seen above, had TEN of Japan's big AOs in it. The enemy's attack and subsequent action caused SEVEN of the TEN to sink. Three made it back to Christmas and they are now headed west for repairs. I got damned lucky. The AOs had just emptied themselves into the Japanese CTF and were retiring. Had that fuel not been transferred, Japan would have/should have lost five Feet Carriers as well as all four Kongo BCs. The fuel allowed for a big circle to be done around Hawaii. The CTF headed towards the West Coast, then three days north, and then four days to Midway. Nearly every turn I waited for the CVs to be clobbered by the combined Allied CTF. Thankfully, that never happened. The loss of these AOs will greatly curtail Japanese operations for the near-future. It is a pain-in-the-ass!!! Tip of the hat to my opponent for catching the AOs! Am purplexed as to why a Fleet Engagement did not happen but am very thankful to get away with the heavies.
