Akira Kurosawa's [B]Dreams[/B] has a scene of a returning Japanese soldier at the end of WW2. Everyone in his unit had been killed. He had to explain to them that they were dead. Very poignant scene.

Unfortunately like the Germans, the Japanese deserved everything that happened to them.

[/B][/QUOTE] I think he meant that, like the Germans, the Japanese were aggressive barbarians who richly deserved the sound thrashing that they got.
