panzers -> difficulty level (12/12/2020 4:56:38 PM)

Before I buy and play this game, can someone tell me what kind of difficulty level this game is?
It looks like a great game, but I do not do well with advance or expert games

Very detailed very involved very deep. It is a 4x game so a hell of a lot is going on. You control production leaders and have 9 directorates to run. Supply is a bear though the latest patch made it so you can make that easier. It may not be your cup of Tea.

As you can see below, in the red oval, there are four skill levels plus a "Give AI more time" applicable to any of the skill levels. Beginner is a challenge on its own and after six months I've only just started to dabble with regular. With more time the AI plays better on any skill level (as I understand it).

In addition, there is a fog of war setting which can make things more challenging.

Other settings as noted by Twotribes adjust the difficulty-level in various ways.

It is NOT an easy game and the learning curve is huge. But, if this type of game (4x wargame) is your cup of tea, it is well worth the effort. I flirted with quitting in frustration a few times, but am very glad I stuck it out - this might be my favorite computer game of all time.

I would rank this great 4x as one that requires watching some excellent, existing, videos (DasTactic, TortugaPower, & WadeStar to name just a few) & reading the large Manual (while playing [:)]) & of course...hanging out at the Matrix forums where all the experts live.
BTW, Vic (developer) is quickly on top of any issues.

Thus, there is a proverbial learning curve; but one that produces immense satisfaction as you learn.
