stuaburt -> [Logged] Strange behaviour in air intercept mission for both lead and wingman (12/16/2020 12:43:25 PM)

As a newbie I'm working my way through the tutorial missions.

Having had some success with air patrol missions I wanted to try a 'scramble' type response.

I set up an air intercept mission triggered when hostile aircraft are detected within 300nm. Aircraft launch in pairs as per the mission but while the lead launches into the attack, the wingman appears to enter loiter mode and lag further and further behind. In the attached image the lead is making a full speed headlong dash at the enemy despite being out of missiles while the wingman wanders around. This is repeatable for every intercept mission I try. (I haven't tried single aircraft yet wanting to maintain pairs)

I suspect that I may have a similar issue to https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4910015

Command v1.02 - Build 1147.14 running via Steam

Any advice/pointers would be welcome, thanks.
Kind regards, Stu

This does indeed look like the same type of issue that I've also encountered as you referenced with the link. In my test scenario I've also seen Winchester lead aircraft in a flight fruitlessly engaging bandits whilst the armed wingman hangs back out of range. The logic seems to be seriously flawed at present.
