what do my cas do?
I used them in my invasion of Poland and they did not cause any loses....also I dont believe the removed any dig in factor, so what do my CAS do?

In full support mode, they will automatically aid your attacks and defense, usually affecting the enemies' unit effectiveness. In operations mode, you direct their attacks manually against land, sea, air or industrial targets.

I don't remember about reducing enemy entrenchment bonuses.

If you are using them in full support mode, then they help with land combat. (round 1 I believe).
If your air is attacking units directly, then only the first attack on the land unit can cause a strength loss. Every other attack on that unit will impact its effectiveness.(You sometimes see the average value on the counter go down)

so keep in mind I am coming from SC..

if i keep the airplane in full support mode, do I tell them which units to attack before i do so with my ground units or is it something that is done automatically like interceptions?

In your turn, you can direct air units to attack enemy units (manual) and that is independent of mode. However, with that said, fighters are usually kept on Full support mode to counter intercept enemy fighters trying to intercept your bombers on your turn(automatic). On your opponents turn, your air units (fighters) will only intercept if on full support mode (automatic). There are other things your air units (bombers) can participate in on your enemies turn which are also automatic when in full support mode and naval bombing, for example, port interdiction, naval interdiction and the new convoy attack. I hope I haven't missed any. Others may need to chirp in if I have.
