No, I don't think so.

Can ports be bombed ?

If your question is: is it possible to bomb ships inside a port by a bomber?

The answer is yes. The best is to bomb the German subs in French ports when they are resting. There is no U-bunker in the game. [:D]

Actually no, though targetting ships in port is one thing,

wondering if the port facilities can be bombed ... much like oil or production facilities

Will likely be less of an issue with the European conflict, but port expansion and/or bombing would likely be important for the Pacific theatre .....

No port facilities can't be attack. But, you can already destroy ships in port.
You can also do a port blockade.

Plenty of options.

Destroying ports creates a micromanagement problem and can be easily exploited.

Frankly, I would think it would very difficult to "destroy a port" short of an atomic bomb .... more along the line of minor adjustments ...... knocking a port size down would be more along the lines in my opinion and take a focused effort .... building a port up (on the flip side) over a year or more would also be a valid feature

Though I lack the insight .... just wanted to share my opinion .....
