ORIGINAL: Yaab Great list. One thing bothers me though. How do keep track of LCUs arriving at destinations? Notepad is your friend. Especially if you have several games going on, or even several big operations in the plans in one game. For example, if you’re in January ‘43 and want to invade the Mariana’s in force, you create such a section in your notepad : quote:
Opération Bighammer Target : Saipan/Tinian/Guam ——— Scheduled : April ‘43 Bighammer 1 (Saipan) Units : 1st MarDiv (PH), 2nd USMC Tank Bn (Eastern USA), 147th FA Bn (Seattle, 155mm) More to assign : 1 infantry div, 4 art bn 2nd wave : 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th Seabees (PH), 1st Eng Bde (Tarawa), 97th Cst AA (Hilo) 4 xAK sent to Seattle to load art bn 2nd USMC on strat move to SF (ETA 41/01/19) (Etc) That way, you keep track of the units assigned, and keep a view of the succession of operations - and of the movements of units, and where you send them. To be safe, you could also keep a list of all your units and toggle them as available/earmarked/refitting as you see fit. And the closer you come to an operation, the more details you add, until you launch it. And then, you keep a closer track of all movements.
