Turn 18. Jul/Aug 1942. Allied #4.
3/2/21, 3:20 PM - [Allied]: wargamed through some risky scenarios for both the Western and Eastern Front. Risky scenarios were just too risky.
3/2/21, 3:22 PM - [Allied]: Will go with something (hopefully) more cautious. Will (attempt) to execute my plans tomorrow. A bit tired today to try to get through everything. There will be an opportunity for another tussle in the North Sea.
3/2/21, 3:23 PM - [Allied]: Also look at some aggressive actions in the Pacific. But decided against that as it would force me to commit the USN faster carrier force in Pearl.

3/2/21, 3:25 PM - [Axis]: Losing a third of Japanese convoys rocked Japanese naval command. An investigation occurred and for those unfortunate enough to be blamed for it, they mysteriously disappeared.

3/2/21, 3:30 PM - [Allied]: I view my foray into the China Sea as equivalent to the Doolittle Raid. While the physiological effects on Japan's military "leaders" in both cases (real life and this game), the destruction in the latter is much more signficant.
3/2/21, 3:31 PM - [Allied]: Also, there's a tug among the JCS for allocation of forces with a number including General Marshall complaining that too many ground forces have been committed to the Pacific when they're sorely need in Europe.

3/2/21, 3:37 PM - [Allied]: Yes, I think you're right but that was so anti-Churchill. That is the invasion of France. He wanted to do the side shows, Torch, Husky and even Greece.

3/2/21, 3:39 PM - [Allied]: I think you're right about Churchill still being PM. No way Lord Halifax would have ok a British invasion of France in 1942. He would likely have negotiated with the axis for an armistice. Or at least that's my take on it.

3/3/21, 3:19 PM - [Allied]: (1) Bay of Biscay. Uncontested/no combat. Queens with CA Nigeria & Mauritius moved from Liverpool to Gibraltar, when the Queens loaded Alexander's HQ-I and then continued on to the 0-box of the Bay of Biscay.

3/3/21, 3:24 PM - [Allied]: (2) North Sea: RN task force of 2 CVs, 3 BBs, 2 CAs & 2 CAs moved from Liverpool and joined the USN and RAF forces already present in the 3-box. The force embarked from the UK a CW mar div, Glasgow MIL and 6 pdr AT div.
