Hi,

Check the attached scenario. Accelerate time and allow aircraft to take off. F-35s assigned to the mission Jammer Intercept which has 'pre-planned targets only' checked behave in a weird manner.

Adir #1 will goes after the aircraft which is considered friendly (or it IDs it as firndly) and flies around it in circles for quite a bit of time. Adir #2 goes after other targets. I had cases where it did the same thing like Adir #1 just checking out the aircraft in the north.

Same problem appears in 1147.14.

Is it WAI or is there something wrong?

Not sure you've ever been able to specify a specific aircraft via an intercept mission in the mission editor nor use the priority target. Always thought that was land or ship strike oriented. Anybody else know? I've never done it[8D]

In general I use intercepts as a general mission to launch against detected aircraft. You'll notice in the mission editor you change general parameters like min and max range to intercept and what defined posture to intercept at.

In this case, I'd just manually launch the aircraft and use the auto-attack function to intercept. If there is not alot going on you, you could even manually plot and manually attack with ease. You can refine what is targeted using the weapon ROE's and making sure opportunity fire is off. This is honestly a few less clicks then setting a mission up and maybe funner[8D]

That is what I used to do (manual approach for intercepting specific targets). But recently tried to set up a mission for an intercept of a specific target and this didn't work.

I usually use air intercept missions the way you described.

Hi,

Thank you for the report.
The problem with A/C chasing friendly and fully IDied contact has been addressed for one of the upcoming update.

Good point for the strike mission, we have added a behavior to force the non-escorts to only engage the planned targets.
