ORIGINAL: AlvaroSousa In the front line you get the exact strength and know exactly what you need to attack it. That is very accurate information the 2nd ID level is knowing the size of the formation and the name the 3rd is knowing the about the size of the formation but not the strength or the name. the 4th is just an unknown marker I don't see the issue. I think I see the issue with this - unless I am wrong, the 2nd ID level tells you the name of the unit, but not its size. If the unit is mech/armour, then that's fine because you know what it is. But with INF, this 2ND level of ID can be less informative than the 3RD. This is because when you combine INF divisions into a corps the resulting 30 strength corps takes the name of one of the divisions, often resulting in a corps called something like 'UK division', knowing the name of a unit does not tell you the size of a unit. Thus the 3RD level of unit ID when it comes to INF units is more informative than the 2ND. Surely the 2ND level of ID should tell you not just the name, but also the size of the unit?
