Thanks for the report, we'll correct this for the next update.

Got the same on French 1275=LRDG

smckechnie -> RE: Join the first official tournament (3/14/2021 7:33:33 PM)

Is there going to be another tournament with brackets started? I missed out on this one.

Scott

Hubert Cater -> RE: Join the first official tournament (3/15/2021 12:56:09 AM)

Thanks for your interest Scott and I believe the plan is for another tournament after this one is completed.

wespe_slith -> Oppeonent doesn `t answer (3/16/2021 7:52:09 AM)

Question: my opponent doesen`t answer the turn 1 in round 2 of tournament. What to do now? Regards wespe_slith (Thomas)
Please no difficult english answers. Thanks

Bubblebox -> RE: Oppeonent doesn `t answer (3/16/2021 10:16:47 PM)

My turns are not uploading to the Matrix site. They save and go Italic Green but not red. Any help would be appreciated. I have played many mutiplayer games and never had this problem before.

taffjones -> Possible problem/Bug (3/18/2021 9:38:52 PM)

Hi Hubert/Bill

Just been checking the score sheet and noticed something odd.

Both my opponent and myself have played turns in both of the mirror games in round two, but I have just checked the scoresheet and it is only showing that 1 game has been started.

This has only happened today, as since the start of round 2 it has been showing both games played.

Hi Thomas,

Sorry to hear this and unfortunately there is not much we can do. Hopefully he finally responds and returns his turns.

Hubert

Hi Bubblebox,

Can you tell me if this is still an issue? Do you receive an error message of some kind?

If it is still a problem, can you tell me the ChallengeID so I can take a closer look?

Thanks,
Hubert

Thanks for the report and I can see what you mean from the tournament page. I wonder if it is just an error in the reporting of the scores but that the scores are still being properly sent to the server.

Let me know if it persists on your next turn and we can then take it from there.

Hubert

Bubblebox -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (3/19/2021 7:49:47 PM)

Thanks for response,
No error message. Games are saved where I left them, I can re-open then, but they do not download it seems.

ID for scww2 tourny game is three, zero, three, nine, seven, nine

Hubert Cater -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (3/21/2021 12:25:48 PM)

Hi Bubblebox,

Could you tell me if you can open the turn, make some moves, and then save the turn? e.g. not actually using 'End Turn'?

If not, can you please email me at support@furysoftware.com?

Thanks,
Hubert

Bubblebox -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (3/23/2021 8:40:36 PM)

Hi Hubert,
Yes I can do all of the above.

Fafnir -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (3/24/2021 6:11:32 AM)

In my current race to victory tournament game an USSR ship in the Black Sea is visible to me but it is not adjacent to a land spot.
It did of cause not pop up with intelligence report.

BillRunacre -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (3/24/2021 10:21:15 AM)

Where did your German sub start the turn? I'm just wondering if that may have spotted it?

Fafnir -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (3/24/2021 10:57:41 AM)

It was at the beginning of the turn. No movement happend yet. I think it was reinforced last turn. If I remember correctly the USSR vessel moved during replay.

Hi Fafnir,

This looks to be correct as the Major Ports at Sevastopol are providing naval spotting range of 2. At least so far as the campaign settings are concerned.

Hope this helps,
Hubert

Fafnir -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (3/25/2021 7:21:36 AM)

Thanx, I was not aware of that.

firsteds -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (4/28/2021 12:36:19 PM)

Has anyone calculated / estimated the number of turns you need to play per day (roughly) to meet the June 2 deadline for Round 3 of the tournament? Thanks in advance.

Hubert Cater -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (4/28/2021 1:54:40 PM)

As the 1939 Race to Victory campaign ends in 1945, it works out to about 1.5 turns per day, per mirrored game.

eriador08 -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (5/4/2021 8:54:09 PM)

I think i just got ghosted in the last round. Opponent did not play or respond in days. Even if he gets back to it some time, it will be hard to finish the game on time now. Sad cause it could have been a great race for first place on the ladder. Other opponents were great and played to the end. Thanks to them![sm=00000289.gif] Are other players ghosted in last round too? How is your experience?

Aside from that i greatly enjoyed the experience of the race to victory tournament. I was able to handle two games a time and even played some games aside from this matches. It gave also motivation to play it out to the last turn to gain some points more or hold on to them.

Fafnir -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (5/5/2021 8:12:25 AM)

There should be a surrender option or an automatic defeat if you do not at least a turn per week. I'm in the WWI and this tournament and I could only complete one mirror game. Most players tend to do less till no moves once they lost the faith in victory.
I can understand that it may not be fun to loose, so surrender (manual or automatic) would be better than this ghosting.

Epekepe -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (5/7/2021 8:18:54 PM)

+1.

And i'm very sorry Fafnir, that i couldn't play enough turns against you to complete our games.

Maybe on next tournament all 3(6) matches could start at day 1. That would give much more time to complete all the games. I think it could be like 8 days to do your turn before automatic disqualification.

BaggieMania -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (6/2/2021 6:28:30 PM)

So it has finished, very enjoyable, I was abit on lost ground strategicly in the first 2 as that was first timers for me to play the 42 and 43 scenario. Apologies to Jackmc for not finishing our round you had me good. ¤"#%"#¤%¤#"%#¤% bloody weather messed me up when I had the chance as Axis in that game I felt.

MrTomnus -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (6/2/2021 7:10:53 PM)

Thanks for organising the tournament it was a lot of fun. I feel like more time was needed for the final scenario as my opponent was only able to return one turn a day, perhaps the time limit could be extended in the future?

firsteds -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (6/3/2021 9:47:57 AM)

I enjoyed the tournament. Luckily I had 3 players who all finished their games and played quickly. Three different nationalities! Some brief notes:

1. The progress scores during play sometimes made no sense. T-34s could be rumbling through Berlin but the progress score would still show the Axis ahead.
2. The 1943 scenario is very hard for beginners. You can't rely on instinct and a bit of history. I suggest some serious Hotseat / AI practice before leaping into 1943 in a tournament.
3. As mentioned elsewhere there is a bit of confusion over the comprehensive victory message you receive as Axis. This only gets you 80 points in the tournament if you accept it, which is only slightly higher than a default or a very narrow win.

I had no technical issues over three months of constant play. Well done to the devs.

Hubert Cater -> RE: Possible problem/Bug (6/4/2021 12:42:23 AM)

Thanks for the feedback everyone and thank you for participating in the tournament. [:)] [8D]

We'll try our best to improve as much as we can for the next iteration.

For the difference between a BYE score and Major and Minor victory, this is for the most part purposeful as in some rounds players are not paired with an opponent, if we end up with an odd number of players for the following round (some players are kicked etc) and this way it puts them with a score somewhere in the middle of 80 for a Major victory or 70 for a Minor victory, e.g. it doesn't really benefit them much, but it doesn't hurt their standings much either.

smckechnie -> Next Tournament (6/5/2021 2:24:11 AM)

Hubert,

So I missed out on the first tournament. I would like to participate in the next one.

When is the next tournament going to start? I think there is lots of interest, so maybe more slots?

Thanks,

Scott
