When we start a new game, we can only choose "Solitaire", "Hot seat" or "Internet".
It seems there's no dedicated PBEM mode of play...
Can you give me any tips for PBEM? How do you do to not exchange hundreds of email during each turn?
Thanks

To play PBEM, we would start a game in Solitaire mode. Phasing player does his impulse and send the game file to opponent for next impulse. If decision from opponent is needed (Interceptions, air-to-air combat, committing of Subs, air units, special units), we do a quick screenshot and send it to oponnent by whatsapp with full description for quick decision. Not that many emails plus game file have to be sent per turn.

Disclaimer: US entry markers and Neutrality pact markers are not longer protected. It's only a very small price to be paid.

Why not head-to-head?

Head-to-head does hide the chit values if players are honest in its use.

Besides various forms of messaging while the game is in progress, you can play PBEM using these additional two methods:

1. for light amounts of interaction simply add some instructions when you send the game file FREX "I will not CAP Lille unless you get to the paradrop step and you are capable of paradropping on it". Also for many combats people would make the same decision for losses, aborts and whatever. So you just let the opponent decide. Oftentimes it is not something that would break the game.

2. For heavy duty combats with multiple rounds, get together in real time with audio and a screen sharing program (even Skype can share the screen) or temporarily use a program like Teamviewer or Anydesk that allows both screen and mouse sharing.

Head to Head is really meant to be 2 players on the same computer. In my experience, occasionally it will throw up a problem, solitaire is alot more stable for PBEM.
