norto22 -> Screen tearing/flickering (1/27/2021 6:24:18 AM)

Hi all,

I've recently purchased WiTP:AE and I've barely been able to play it because whenever I scroll across the map the screen starts tearing and looking terrible. I've tried multiple switches in the shortcut with no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas? I really want to get into this game but just can't with this issue.
Thanks

EDIT: this is my shortcut target line
"D:\War in The Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -pxf3440 -pyf1440 -archive -deepColor -multiaudio -altFont -SingleCpuOrders -cpu2 -skipVideo

I'm also running a 1080ti if that helps.

Check that all your hyphens are the ones from the top line of the keyboard, not the minus sign on the numeric keypad. Then try the -dd_sw switch.

EDIT: just noticed that your resolution setting is extremely high. I don't know if your video card and monitor are compatible at that resolution but this game was not designed for anything that high. Some players have reported getting up to about the 2500 range on -px but I don't recall anything higher working.

I agree with BB, try lowering your resolution to a stock size or try it full screen.

This may be relevant to your problem, although your resolution might be too high https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4637477&mpage=1
Also make sure you are running the newest beta version.

Thanks everyone for replies, I have tried with and without -dd_sw switch and it didn't change anything and my monitor and graphics card are capable of running that resolution but I will try lowering because this game must not be able to.

EDIT: Lowering resolution fixed it, you guys are legends thanks again!
