BlueTemplar -> [1.07.06] Huge Cashflow / Treasury inconsistency (2/1/2021 2:36:57 AM)

Treasury Cashflow overview :
181 credits of revenue
233 credits of expenses

Urgent issues :
You have 1869 (!!!) Credits negative cashflow (see treasury).

Coffers : empty (almost?)
Workers : angry

At first I thought that private industry somehow "helped itself" in my treasury to build the new level of Transport Hub, but this is taking things to another level...

Saves from the turn before I noticed this issue up to this latest turn with the huge coffer-emptying :

Did you by chance buy expensive stuff from the Traders this turn?

I am guessing the Actuall Cashflow considers such changes. While the Treasury can only consider regular income.

No, this is at the very start of the turn.
"No public trading reported".
(EDIT : AFAIK, my public sector will NEVER buy items from traders I haven't ordered it to ?)

On phone, but off the top of my head, corruption?

BlueTemplar -> RE: [1.07.06] Huge Cashflow / Treasury inconsistency (2/1/2021 1:11:16 PM)

I have 794 credits of Theft total (AFAIK this is over the length of the game ?).
Anyway, 794+233 = 1027 < 1869

Found a glitch indeed. Will be fixed next open beta. Eta monday. Workaround would be to put your Zone back to incorporated. Thanks for reporting! :)

Good job, Templar!

BlueTemplar -> RE: [1.07.06] Huge Cashflow / Treasury inconsistency (2/4/2021 4:48:08 PM)

Thank you for fixing it so fast, and for the workaround !
Eh, I could have hardly missed this issue, considering how much money it drained !

I already tried to make my capital regular again, with no apparent effect... but trying it a second time, I see that this bug stops on the *second* turn after the "regularization" !

Is this because, despite what the zone administration mode shows, the *actual* switch between unincorporated/regular only happens in between turns ? (If so, it seems kind of misleading, might it count as an interface bug ?)

Private Population has certain needs, as defined in "5.3.20.1. PrIvate eConomy Can stImulate market"

However if those needs are satisfied by private assets or passive income, there is no need to buy anything - and indeed they can sell excess to the traders instead, to make more private credits.
One private Mining asset, private Oil Drill and Private Farm have a decent chance to cover all the goods need from TL 3-9.
Only need to add a private mind if there is no rainfall.

BlueTemplar -> RE: [1.07.06] Huge Cashflow / Treasury inconsistency (2/6/2021 10:11:48 AM)

I was talking about the public sector, not the private one.
It does automatically try to sell SHQs (not Zone's) item excesses, so I was wondering whether there would be some situations where it would automatically *buy* items ?

Only automatic selling of excess (basically anything it would have to dump otherwise). Not automatic buying of lacking materials - that is entirely left to you.

Maybe Vic could add a request/warning by the SHQ commander: "We have less Water in storage then we needed last turn - please allow me to buy some."

BlueTemplar -> RE: [1.07.06] Huge Cashflow / Treasury inconsistency (2/6/2021 12:26:09 PM)

Yeah, it would be *especially* nice if you could allow them to do it mid-turn-processing to prevent unexpected mid-turn-processing shortages !
