Technopiper -> Questions about the Subunit Inspector (2/19/2021 2:41:55 AM)

1. Do the numbers before AP, Area, AD and HEAT indicate their effectiveness?
2. Does "Area" mean area effect as in High Explosives?
3. What is "AD"? Area denial?
4. 2200 meters is kind of short for an ATGM. It's 4 hexes in game term. Is that correct?

I apologize if these questions have already been asked. Could you point me to a post explainging these? I did google for them before asking. Thank you!

1 and 2). AP is 15mm of penetration per point. Same for HEAT rounds. AD and Area use the SA value which covers high explosive, blast fragmentation, and small arms fire. Those weapon effects that cover Areas.

3). AD is Air Defense.

4). ATGM ranges vary based on weapon. Each hex is 500 meters.

Most of these items are explained in the game manual and What's New PDFs that can be accessed in the help menu or in the document folder in the game's folder.

80mm S-8 is not an ATGM, it is an unguided rocket.

BTW, a lot of ATGM has range at or short than 2000m. Milan/AT-4/Dragon/AT-7

I see now that they are right below the section for "Subunit Inspector". Don't know how I could have missed that! Thank you for your patience. [:)]

You are right. The first thing that came to my mind was the AS-8/AT-6/Shturm. Thanks!
