When a scenario features a large number of biological contacts under the Polar ice cap, the game grinds to a halt at anything other than 1x time compression. Deleting those biological contacts resolves the issue. Save file attached. Thanks! N.B. #1: I've generated a similar number of bio contacts in other parts of the world and have not seen the same issue. (See my "Knife Fight in a Phone Booth" quick battle.) N.B. #2: Biological contacts are on a "Nature" side with Awareness set to Blind. They're all assigned to a Sea Control Patrol mission within a large hexagonal area called "Wander."
