Game doesnt start (Full Version)

Installation works fine, launcher works. but when i click play game nothing happens...

when i check in task manager the launcher is still running in the background.

the same effect if i click directly on the game file to start it. nothing

1. Did you allow DirectX 9 and .NET 4.7.2 to install during the installation?

2. Did you install into the default location?

3. Could you post a DxDiag please?

i already reinstalled the game and restarted the laptop (MSI ge75 raider Nvidia gforce 1070... specs high end)

2.no correction. i tried to reinstall it on the suggested drive. no effect
3. where can i find it?

Just to check, can you please try this:

Windows Media Player in Windows 10

To proceed with this method, right-click Start, select ‘Control Panel’ > ‘Programs’ > ‘Programs & Features’ and then click on ‘Turn Windows Features On or Off’.

Apps and Features. Click “Turn Window

Please also try going to your installation folder and double-clicking on the WarInTheEast2 application file directly (bypassing the game menu on the desktop shortcut) to see if that makes any difference.

SO i did everything and i am also following the other threads with the same problem. nothing helps

what i did so far:

redownload, reextracted, reinstalled, installed on original drive with suggested location, installed on different drive, dclicked directly on the exe, tried launcher again, did this windows media thing (it was already checked)

If you manually change your DPI settings for your system, does that help?

Rename the "Video" subfolder as "_Video". You can find this inside the "Dat" folder.
Then run the game and check if the issue persists.

Also, please try right clicking on the WarintheEast2 application in your installation folder, then choose "Run as Administrator" and let us know if that makes any difference.

Try closing Cortana. It did it for me
