Thank you for the quick reply, but that didn't resolve the issue.

If you manually change your DPI, does that make any difference for you?

Also, please post a DxDiag

My DxDiag file

Erik Rutins -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:00:26 PM)

This really tells me it's very likely related to the DPI scaling/resolution issue with very high resolutionswe've been chasing.

User DPI Setting: 120 DPI (125 percent)
System DPI Setting: 144 DPI (150 percent)
3840 x 2160 (32 bit)

Could you try manually changing your system DPI (as in the screenshot above) and resolution to see if you can find a combination which resolves this?

cdsys -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:03:51 PM)

And the 100% setting didn't help (both tested alone and in combination with dpi settings)

cdsys -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:05:51 PM)

Changed to 150% and the game crashed...

Erik Rutins -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:08:01 PM)

Did changing the resolution help at all?

Erik Rutins -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:10:00 PM)

Are you running the game through the launcher? If so, could you please also try running it manually from the application in the installation folder?

cdsys -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:16:54 PM)

Using Launcher, tried direct from the installation folder, same result. Changed scaling, willl try resolution change later tonight. Time for dinner ;-)

Erik Rutins -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:18:09 PM)

If that doesn't resolve it, please try this:

Please try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.

You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.

If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.

A tutorial on how to do this can be found below:

teddybbeer -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/25/2021 6:29:32 PM)

this guide helped me: blog pauby com\post\high-dpi-settings-windows-10\

i still cant post links [:D]

cdsys -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/26/2021 7:03:13 AM)

Running windows in 1920x1080 fixes the issue, but of course that's not the idea on a 4k monitor. I will have a look at teddybbeer's link this weekend.

General note, an (or multiple) extra zoom in levels on the map for high resolution gaming would be handy.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/26/2021 1:43:00 PM)

Ok, just to be clear - with no DPI changes but only reducing your resolution to 1920x1080 the problem is gone? Have you tried any other combinations of system and application DPI and resolution to see if your system can be happier with higher resolutoins?

cdsys -> RE: Graphic issue in 4k (3/27/2021 8:31:35 AM)

Didn't have time to test yesterday (work and such ;-) ). Resumed testing this morning.

Ok back to 3840x2160, 150% scale. No more DPI settings on the exe. Looks good now and no game crash (No idea why it crashed first time I tried it on 150% on Thursday).

thx for all the suggestions and the input.
