to be utterly helpful yes and no. yes in the sense that the air directive concept is the same across both games so at a purely mechanistic manner that could be helpful. no, as even at this level the UI is different and its not just the display its the interaction of using the AOG not the individual air group as the basic building block. And beyond that, in practice many of the rules just are different. Some that come to mind are the ways in which fighters interact around GS missions, the higher operational losses if you have flown long distances/poor weather/fatigued, the air transport system. On the assumption you want to play with manual control, my advice would be: a) open up the German T1 b) grab any AD that comes to mind and mess about changing it, plane allocation, target, purpose, days per week etc c) grab any AOG and just practice how to move both all of it and the planes at a particular airbase or just one airgroup d) clear out the ADs and practice setting up your own You can run the air phase at any stage just to see what is going to happen. All that you can do with the relevant manual section open, that should help you with the mechanistic aspects as well as give you some clues as to the more judgemental elements veel plezier Roger
