I send some russian depleted air units to the reserve, thus emptying the AOG ( some SAD ).

After that, this AOG was no longer accessible.

1. Where did it go to?

2. Will it come back?

SADs disband in early 1942. You can see the schedule on the AOG tab of the Reinforcements and Transfers (I) option.

Unlikely this was cause and effect in your example.

Yes I’ve experienced the same thing. I haven’t checked yet as I’ve not needed them but if you select the assign new AOG button from an airbase are they visible there @Sven?

they should be available to be drawn back onto the map as requested, so if you empty out an AOG the lable disappears (this applies all up the command chain) but you can bring it back to take on fresh air groups etc as you need

as the Soviets come 1944 you end up with a mass of unused AOGs, while at times in 1942-3 you will be using pretty much everyone you possess

Thanks to all the replies.

Yes, i found out what happens.

As Loki said, they are still on the map, technically at least.

I pulled some air units out of reserve and placed them close to Stalingrad. Initially, the y were assigned to Volga air comand. If you open the airfield by left klicking on the blue airfield name, you can see the individual air units. if you right klick on one, you get the option of assigning that air unit to an AOG. If you klick that ( left click, i think) a list opens up. In that list, the empty AOGs reappear. choose a fitting one and the AOG is accessible again.
