Does anyone know the DaBabes discussion thread concerning the change to 36 spend and 13 belt armor for the fletcher's?
edit( I suspect the 36 speed is closer to real life).

Da Babes made a number of data changes. Since at least 2 devs were on the Da Babes team you might assume that they are accurate changes.

And IIRC fletchers could actually get to 38 knots.

As explained in another post, that was a speed attained on trials which are usually done at light load. Add full fuel, a full crew, provisions and ammo and the ship will be deeper in the water and harder to push.

Who said such a thread exists?

If it isn't covered in the download package, you are going to spend a long time trying to find a forum thread dedicated to it.

There was a book I once read about a sailor on one of the Bensons who claimed an Essex on trials left them in the dust. But I think a CV gains a lot more weight when fully fueled and loaded with planes, torps, bombs, etc. Now I need to find the book.
